evanescence (ev'e-nes'ens ): a dissipation or disappearance like vapor I'm sure everyone has heard "Bring Me To Life." Well, that song was written by a band called Evanescence. Or Ev as they are known to fans. This band is just amazing. With the guitar work of Ben Moody and the haunting voice of Miss Amy Lee. Evanescence hail from Arkansas. I know I was just as surprised to hear they were from there. I didn't know that Arkansas could produce such a strong musical force. This band has meant so much to me over the last couple of months. The lyrics alone are enough to make me have chills, but when you add the riffs behind it that just makes it magical. I have had the pleasure of seeing them live when they came though Pueblo. Through their music I have also connected deeper with Chris. Him and I both feel the same way about this band. In fact it was him that told me about them. Before they were just "that band" that sang that "one song." Everyone that knows me knows i have panic disorder. Well not very many things have been able to help. Durning my attacks i have found that Ev helps more then i could ever tell you. Listening to Amy's voice and being pulled into their world of words and music can calm me and bring my body the peace that the panic and fear keep it from. I dont know how i would even begin to thank them for that. There are no words. Theirs is the first cd that is played in the morning. I roll over press play on my controler and listen to every song on 'Fallen' then i get out of bed and start my day. "I can stop the pain if I will it all away!"
